    About The Role: Directs and coordinates activities of warehouse personnel concerned with documentation and routing of outgoing freight and verification and reshipment of incoming freight by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure a safe and secure work environment.
    • Conduct pre shift meetings.
    • Ensure Material Handling equipment is being inspected by operators prior to shift start and operated in a safe manner during work hours.
    • Make sure employee and associates are following standard operating procedures.
    • Perform random audits to make sure employees and associates are following standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure productivity and throughput shift goals are exceeded or achieved on a daily basis.
    • Under system to utilize exception reporting.
    • Provide end of shift reports and updates timely.
    • Provide training to supervised warehouse personnel

    Qualifications

    • 3 to 5 years of experience in Warehousing, Receiving or Inventory Control, ideally within a multi-client warehousing environment
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding warehouse environment
    • Ability to train and develop warehouse personnel
    • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
    • Must be certified to operate and able to train warehouse staff to operate fork lifts and other material handling equipment
    • Organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn our proprietary WMS
    • Safety minded
