    About The Job: The WMS Analyst is a critical support role for the automated warehouse management system (WMS) platform and services provided to PT third-party logistics (3PL) clients. PT is a dynamic, growing distribution, logistics and transportation organization seeking to enhance and expand its WMS capabilities and utilization. PT currently uses the Manhattan Associates’ Integrated Logistic System (ILS/SCALE) WMS as a dedicated client WMS platform, and Softeon for its multi-client platform.  

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

     

    • Responding to user and customer requests for help with WMS application;
    • Providing technical support by responding to inquiries and Help Desk tickets regarding errors, problems, or questions about the WMS applications.
    • Provide technical assistance to facilitate WMS user training, including analyzing and providing technical inputs for training materials, and assist with qualification and certification of WMS users before and after training.
    • Understanding ‘behind-the-scenes’ details of the WMS graphical user interfaces (screen layouts), printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems. Designing WMS printed outputs (reports and carton labels).
    • Consulting with users and customers to gather information (discovery) about WMS functional requirements, including needs, objectives, features, and input and output requirements.
    • Analyzing and estimating feasibility, resources and time required to implement WMS functional requirements. Participating in project plan development outlining steps and time tables for developing customer-specific WMS functional flow.
    • Participating in testing of existing and new WMS features. Creating test transactions and running tests to find errors and confirm WMS configuration meet requirements and specifications.
    • Writing and maintaining technical WMS configuration documentation and specifications, and creating and updating summary documentation of features of the WMS applications.
    • This position shares support and project responsibilities with other members of the WMS Applications team.

    Qualifications

     

     

    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in user software support through creating and interpreting procedural documentation, and conveying software usage procedural instructions to business users.
    • Fluency in English; good verbal & written communications. Can speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; participates effectively in meetings. Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information
    • An overall understanding of Microsoft Office suite of applications, with a minimum of intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; experience in support of user data analysis in Excel.
    • Exhibit high degree of dependability

     

    Strongly desirable skills:

     

    Experience with application testing and SQL.

     

    Education:

     

    Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or five (5) years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience. Applicant must be able to demonstrate practical experience implementing functional solutions within a software application based on user requirements

     

     

    Travel Requirements:

    • Ability to handle a mix of travel destinations and duration.
    • Travel frequency is variable and project dependent; unlikely to exceed 5% of overall work time.
