    Responsibilities

    • Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.
    • Identify trends and developments within the Operation and various profit centers and presents the findings to senior management.
    • Design, build and maintain custom reporting in support of business objectives.
    • Finance lead on projects and initiatives involving processes and systems
    • Identify opportunities to improve or leverage existing systems.
    • Identify data quality issues and their root causes. Propose fixes and design data audits to ensure against problem recurrence.
    • Co-ordinate the testing, training and user development of the Finance systems. 
    • Obtain understanding of current systems deployment and model or redesign processes, workflows, and roles in support of the Finance functions. 
    • Work with users to define and document new reporting requirements, and build the needed reports.  Drive resolutions with regard to reporting discrepancies.
    • Provide month end financial reporting as needed and required by Accounting
    • Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action.
    • Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
    • Evaluate complex profit plans, operating records and financial statements.
    • Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements and operating forecasts.
    • Collaborate heavily with operational leadership to provide quality tools to expedite and improve decision-making.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Information Systems
    • 5+ years related experience and/or training
    • Strong hands-on systems implementation experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis applications such as Hyperion, Cognos or Anaplan (preferred)
    • Solid understanding of account structures, financial reporting, product profitability, accounting flows and P&L and Balance Sheet concepts
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Requires strong financial, systems and reporting expertise as well as hands-on experience with full-cycle implementations which will enable you to successfully partner across the organization to define and prioritize business requirements and translate requirements into systems solutions
    • MBA a plus.
